Session 2

Intro

It has been four years since the end of the Last War. The world of Eberron is still putting itself together, trying to reconcile its war-torn past with the endless possibilities of its future. Millions lost their lives; some still seek revenge for the fallen, whereas others hope for a peaceful future. But there has been one constant: the Dragonmarked Houses claim the power granted by their connection to the progenitor dragon upon which every thing living walks, crawls, or flies.

Sharn, the City of Towers, the City of Lost Souls, the City of a Thousand Eyes, the City of Knives, the Gateway to Xen'drik, the Gateway to Perdition: untold thousands call the city home, but none know all of its secrets. The day began like any other day in Sharn, with at least one exception: Lord-Mayor Bren ir'Gadden was giving a speech to call for the Day of Remembrance, when a Mourning Haunt descended upon his platform and attacked bystanders, dropping enigmatic pieces as it was slain. A ragtag group of adventurers are given leave to take the pieces to Morgrave University to investigate.
