On the Day of Mourning, a group of adventurers found themselves at the Tower of Scars, a ruined tower beset by Dolgrims and Kruthiks with Lord Bren ir'Gadden and TTRPG/Campaigns/Unmarked by Dragons/NPCs/Aric Blacktree bound in manacles. Freeing these wayward nobles, the adventures found a strange ritualistic circle on the ground, exhibiting similar symbols to a Aberrant Dragonmark. When investigating the mark, the adventurers saw chaotic visions of the future, and a message rang out:

Leaving the tower, the adventurers were attacked by agents of the Emerald Claw, with Bren aiding the party while Aric curled on the ground in fear. As the Emerald Claw agents sought to regain their two prisoners, sending their Zombie minions after the adventurers, the sky began to flash strange colors, and an otherworldly mist began to roll in. Suddenly, the screams from the battlefield below fell silent, and the mist hung in the air like a wall around Cyre. After defeating the Emerald Claw, the adventurers went their separate ways, the pair of grateful nobles slowly returned to their city.
